Rosa A. Temple High School

Rosa A. Temple High School was named in the honor of a long-time teacher who excelled with distinction at the school and in the local community. JuneBug attended Temple for four years and worked at the Kentucky Fried Chicken while living in the colored YMCA in downtown Vicksburg. As he worked and attended high school, JuneBug learned how to balance his life between work and school, while living in a segregated community.

It was at Rosa A Temple High School that he came into contact with respectful mentors and role models, who represented a high level of scholarship and academic knowledge.
